Days

Yesterday was Wiped Out Wednesday. Today is certainly Thirsty Thursday. Take a look outside Chicago. At least tomorrow is Fist Pumping Friday.

Last night I drank 16 beers while bowling. I bowled OK. Definitely have bowled better. Fun was had though.

I'm a little frustrated. I managed, well I guess purposly, to stay single for 2 years and just go on dates and hang casually with girls and not take anything too seriously. I guess I'm in a relationship now. I guess we've been exclusive for like a wopping 2 weeks after months of flirting and playfulness and now we are already fighting majorly over something I think is ridiculously stupid. Well, I take that back, over something that has been blown way out of proportion, and now I'm saying to myself, single wasn't all that bad. I had it pretty good there, didn't I? Ahh, maybe I will feel different tomorrow. The grass is always greener on the other side they say.

Thank You

Well, we got bumped from the contest last night. It was a good run though. I want to sincerely thank everyone who voted to get us into the second and third round, and posted blogs, bulletins, texted your little fingers off last night, and an extra special thanks to those of you who drove out in the bad traffic to Palatine last night to cheer us on and watch us play. I truly feel loved and it leaves a good feeling in my heart. Thank you very very much to all of you. Kisses.

With this contest now gone I will go back with my original plan and attend the Lollapalooza concert as a spectator and music lover. We'll be playing a show later in August in Wicker Park with 3 other great bands and friends. More details to come. Cheers!!

I copied this straight from the Doom though. So, some of these are his words. Details:

OK, here's the deal: Milk at Midnight will be playing next Tuesday July 18th at Durty Nellie's, 180 N. Smith St. in Palatine! It's from 8-11pm and the crowd will vote via text messaging for the winner. We'll need all the help we can from your nimble fingers! And also, you can go over to the Milkspace and listen to some tunes.

9-9:30pm MILK AT MIDNIGHT
10-10:30pm A BIRDSONG VALENTINE
10:30-11:30p TEXT MESSAGE VOTING
9AM Winner posted on Q101.com

RULES FOR TEXT VOTING-Voting will begin when final band finishes their set.-Text the band name of who you think should win to 99161. -Voting will be open for 1 hour. -The band with the most votes will be posted on Q101.com at 9AM.

In case this isn't clear, anyone can text-message, even if you're not there, so that means you in Michigan and you in Denver and you in Australia can vote too! But if you can, come on out to P-Town and enjoy the fun. I'm still studying the map trying to figure out where Palatine is. Durty Nellie's is the place. Do it!

Thanks Baby!

My friend Joey was nice enough to let me ride her bike home last night so I didn't have to walk, bus, or cab home. It's an old, big, pink bike with a basket in front and a bell. It sort of looks like this.

Thinking, I'm so going to get beat up, I decided to ham it up. I put on the shades and rang the bell, waved, and yelled to everyone I passed. One woman said I scared the hell out of her. Ding ding, whoop!! Another person yelled "SWEET RIDE!" I pulled up to the window at the gas station and asked for a pack of cigarettes. Just like in the movies. He asked me "what kind?", and I said, "what do you mean?" We worked it out, I handed him the cash and said "thanks baby!" He smiled nervously and I was off and running again. I felt like Pee Wee Herman on my bike journey. Today I am tired.
